Amin 'Xenomex'
amin@xenomex.com
"Hi! I’m Amin and I created the name Xenomex back when I was looking for a Runescape account name. It was xenome to begin with, but I had to add an x at the end so that it gets accepted! I wanted to look for a name which was unique worldwide, and I think I was fortunate enough to have made a correct choice. I decided to make the YouTube channel ‘XenomexTutorials’ at January 2008. For some reason or another, I wanted to share knowledge with people. Through YouTube, I was able to upload videos which helped people, even though the quality of the videos I was producing at the time was more than poor! In fact, the first tutorial I made was on ‘How to use Windows Movie Maker’, narrated by my unbroken 11 year old voice.
"The website xenomex.com is simply a step to take the videos, community and experience to the next level. Xenomex is no longer going to be a person, but a website which caters for a large community ready to learn, engage, contribute and benefit."
As I made more and more tutorials, more viewers started tuning in and many followers emerged unexpectedly. One of the main reasons that kept me going was the positive feedback from my viewers. I was also motivated by what other more professional video uploaders produced. Producing videos on YouTube as a kid was quite a challenge, but I wanted to crack it and ensure that one day I’ll produce content which all audiences will appreciate and benefit from. I reached a stage where I would learn stuff just to share how to do it. An example of this is the ‘How to make 3D Text on Photoshop’ which has received over 100,000 views so far. As I made more videos I gained more experience and learnt a lot more. I would video any sort of electrical gadget just to put it up online! Many of the videos I have left on XenomexTutorials are very old, unprofessional and I wish to take off, but I keep them on. Looking at the number of views and the ratings, there is sufficient evidence to show that there are people finding use of what I perceive as low quality. With the launch of this website however, I aim to start creating content of higher quality, motivated by what I hope to be a very engaging community from around the world."

Obaidah

"Well for starters, I don’t have a stage name. In fact, I don’t event have a nickname! I pretty much just have a forename and a surname: Obaidah Sheikh. I did at one point try to adopt the name 'Yamazak', but that didn’t last very long. I’ve been using Phyniiix quite a bit recently, so unless any remarkably wonderful stage name hits me any time soon, you’ll probably get to know me as Phyniiix. Anyway, unlike Amin, ironically I’ve never really had an interest in making tutorials. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve long loved helping people – an ambition I intend to continue to peruse – it just never occurred to me how powerful a tool the internet is. And I suppose that neatly brings us in to what this whole website is about, the whole idea of xenomex as a community.
"Xenomex is an idea: the bringing together of genius and ambitious minds, to inspire the upbringing of yet more imaginative and creativite minds, and help as many people along the way. Share your skills and let others learn from your mistakes"

As well as helping establish the xenomex community, I also have interests in computer gaming and hardware, technology, robotics… well, pretty much anything engineering related which looks cool (more to come on the robotics later ;) ). Oh and for those of you who care, I also enjoy road cycling and swimming too :D. Make sure you check out the forums and send me a personal message telling me how amazing I am. Peace."
